Buti joined the financial services industry in 2002. His career began with Masupatsela Healthcare Services where he was a Manager. In 2009 he became the managing director for BFS Solutions and through SIGC still holds a 20% shareholding of the company.
He is the majority shareholder of SIGC, and the Key Individual for all License Categories. He holds a Higher Certificate in Financial Planning and a relevant financial services qualification in terms of the Fit and Proper requirements.
In addition, he has been instrumental in managing and growing relations with different stakeholders that include key corporate companies in the food sector, insurance companies or product houses and organised labour and etc.

Phumlani has always been grounded, whether rising over an obstacle or achieving a certain goal. The guiding principle that he lives by – RESPECT – all human beings, irrespective of where they come from. It is imperative to do business with people that share similar values, and ethics that we treasure.
He holds a Higher Certificate in Wealth Management, with Health Specialization, accomplished his National Certificate in Short Term Insurance and completed both Key Individual and Representatives Regulatory Examinations.
He has extensive knowledge of the Medical Aid Industry, which is ideally suitable in assisting Organized Labor negotiate better healthcare solutions and programs with their Employers.
